The Ministry emphasized the urgent need to enhance inclusive education, particularly in disabilityinclusion, including the shortage of special education assistant teachers and the need forstructured training programs. Both parties agreed to launch an online training module showcasingJapan’s best practices. The pilot program will be conducted online for policymakers, aiming toenhance their competencies in developing inclusive education policies. This program is specificallydesigned to provide insights, practical skills, and strategic approaches to regional governmentpolicymakers, equipping them with knowledge to implement effective policies.
As the next step, Hiroshima University will organize the initial online pilot program, which will serve as a foundational step toward a more structured capacity-building initiative. This program will feature expert-led discussions, case studies, and interactive Q&A sessions to equip policymakers with practical strategies for fostering inclusive education. The ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable training model that empowers policymakers to drive systemic change and ensure effective policy implementation for inclusive education in Indonesia.
